QEP End of Year Awards & Celebration

May 1, 2026
3:00pm - 4:00pm
PSU 226, Linville Falls

Thank you to all who joined us to celebrate shared progress on App State’s climate literacy goals!

Our campus community made tremendous progress on climate literacy work this academic year, including launching the Sustainability & Climate Literacy requirement in General Education, offering >150 sections of Climate Studies courses, establishing a new Climate Studies Minor, and attracting thousands of participants to co-curricular climate learning events. View our slideshow to learn more about this shared progress.

We were thrilled to present our inaugural Resilience Pathmaker Awards.

These awards recognize members of our campus community—students, faculty and staff—who have made significant contributions to advancing climate literacy and “climate response-ability,” which we define as “having the knowledge, skills and sense of efficacy to envision and implement positive climate action in our professions and our communities.” Our 2026 award recipients are:

  • Reilly Cates, a senior majoring in Sustainable Development
  • Asher Fazal, a senior majoring in Sustainable Business Management
  • Megan Prosser, a senior majoring in Sustainable Development
