SPEAKER BIO

Jay Arzu, a graduate of Marist College, began his Ph.D. in City and Regional Planning at the University of Pennsylvania Stuart Weitzman School of Design in Fall 2021. Jay is the Co-Founder of the Collective Form, a walkable urbanism and community engagement platform, where he handles Strategic Initiatives, Equity Management, and Community Engagement.

A former U.S. Fulbright Fellow, Jay is the Strategic Planner and community leader for the Roosevelt Boulevard subway project in Philadelphia. This long-standing plan is seeing movement thanks to his leadership and advocacy. He has also facilitated multiple Highway-to-Boulevard projects in the nation to return auto-based spaces to walkable communities. In 2023, Jay Arzu was named number 40 of the 150 most influential people in Philadelphia
